After a year of injuries in the Spanish camp, they have finally received some good news in the form of the return of Paula Badosa. The Spanish sensation has done very well for her country and even reached as high as World No. 2.
However, this year, the 25-year-old has not performed in three of the four Grand Slam titles but still managed to secure a spot in the Spanish team for the Billie Jean King Cup. Badosa has not played a match since Wimbledon due to recurring injuries, and just when she was all set to play at the US Open, another injury scare occurred, putting a halt on her 2023 season.

In a recent video released by the Billie Jean King Cup, Paula was seen practicing a few shots. The 25-year-old played a few forehand and backhand shots with ease and will join the likes of Sara Sorribes Tormo, Rebeka Masarova, Cristina Bucsa, and Marina Bassols Ribera.
Notably. this is her second appearance at the Billie Jean Cup finals after a remarkable 2022 debut.

After a forgetful season, Paula Badosa reveals some exciting news about her return. The Spanish superstar returned to play in the Billie Jean Finals with her team. After a horrible spinal strain fracture and recurring back pain, the 25-year-old isn’t available for the majority of the season, but with proper rehab and rest, she looks to return and perform for her country. She said:
It’s a mix of emotions, it has been a very tough year for me. Finally coming back to play here, playing in front of my crowd at home, as a team. I love to play for Spain, so for me, it’s very special.

The Billie Jean Cup finals start on the 7th of November and the Spanish team is all set to play their first match on the 8th of November. The news of Paula returning is a huge plus point for the Spanish but she is also lacking match experience this year and will have to get her momentum back very soon.
