Paula Badosa is not having a good time on the court. After Wimbledon last year, Badosa faced persistent injuries that forced her to stay away from the court. The Spaniard eventually returned after the injury during the Adelaide International last month.
It seemed that she had built some good momentum on her return after a few good performances at the Australian Open.

However, she faced another setback in the second round of the Dubai Tennis Championships. She couldn’t continue the match further due to her back injury.
This is the second time this season that the Spaniard has had to retire in between matches. The first was at the Thailand Open a few weeks ago. However, after the recent harrowing setback, Badosa burst into tears after facing another injury woe in her career.
The tennis professional recently took to her Instagram to thank her fans for their wishes. Besides, as per the 26-year-old herself, she will be looking to work hard to make a comeback even after persistent injuries.
Want to thank everyone that has sent supportive messages this past days on these difficult moments for me. It’s being a long process, but I won’t give up. Tennis is my life and passion, and I’ll do anything to comeback as soon as possible and enjoy this sport again.
Badosa wrote in the story.

Thus, after the return, Badosa’s time on the court is cut short due to these persistent injuries. With that being, it is worth noting that her last WTA Tour title was over a year ago at the Sydney International, in which she beat Victoria Azarenka in the finals.
