Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas are the newest power couple in the tennis world at the moment. The two lovebirds have been in a relationship for a couple of months now. Recently, Badosa was seen practicing with her boyfriend’s brother, Petros Tsitsipas, as the 2023 US Open inches closer.

The duo practiced on the Louis Armstrong Stadium as the final Major of the year kicks off in less than five days. Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas have nicknamed their relationship as ‘Tsitsidosa,’ as they have also created a social media account with the same username. The Spaniard explained her decision to practice with Petros ahead of the US Open.

Badosa jokingly stated that Stefanos’ brother, Petros, is a part of the ‘Tsitsidosa’ arrangement, and training with him is a part of her regular schedule. Speaking about her training sessions with Petros Tsitsipas, the Spanish player said, “Yes, absolutely. If I date Stef, then I get Petros as a practice partner.” Petros competes in the Doubles’ event on the tour, most often with his brother as his partner.

Paula Badosa has had a tough year in terms of the time she has spent on the timelines. The Spaniard has been nursing a spinal stress fracture since the past three months, which she picked up at the 2023 Italian Open. This eventually forced her to withdraw from the French Open in June.

She returned to the court at Wimbledon, however; she had to withdraw from her second-round encounter against Marta Kostyuk owing to a relapse of the same injury. She could not recover in time for the 2023 Canadian Open, which took place earlier this month. Hence, she had to withdraw from the tournament and set her sight on the US Open.
