Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas‘ relationship has caught attention yet again, but this time it’s not all about their love. A recent side-eye look at her boyfriend’s restive father has created a lot of reaction on social media, and fans couldn’t help but draw wild speculations.
Badosa had earlier withdrawn from the Indian Wells Masters due to injury after playing the Eisenhower Cup with her boyfriend Tsitsipas. However, the Spaniard didn’t leave the California desert, as she was in the stands to watch Tsitsipas play his first-round match.

In a video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), Tsitsipas’ father, Apostolos Tsitsipas, appeared to be uncomfortable watching the match as his son was down 1-0 against Lucas Pouille at the start of the first set. Badosa, who was sitting at a distance, gave him a long stare.
The side-eyed stare was unusual, but perhaps she wasn’t happy that Apostolos was already restive at the beginning of the match.
Interestingly enough, this is not the first time that the Spanish star has given a long side-eye to her Tsitsipas’ father. During the 2023 Wimbledon championship, the same situation happened that made fans question the relationship between Badosa and her boyfriend’s father.
Despite Tsitsipas achieving a brilliant victory against Andy Murray in the second round, Badosa’s long stare stole the show, eliciting a plethora of reactions online.
That led the 26-year-old WTA star to open up about the odd situation in an Instagram Q&A two weeks later. Badosa cleared the air by stating that she has no differences with Tsitsipas’ father and that she loves her boyfriend’s family.
Stefanos Tsitsipas to play Frances Tiafoe in the third round of Indian Wells
Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated French qualifier Lucas Pouille 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the third round of the Indian Wells Masters. The Greek would play American Frances Tiafoe, who defeated Dusan Lajovic.

Tsitsipas dropped from the Top 10 in February after three years following a run of disappointing results. At the Mexican Open, he lost to Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinals after losing to Casper Ruud at the Los Cabos Open a week earlier.
Tiafoe leads 3-2 in the head-to-head against Tsitsipas. The American last defeated the Greek at the 2023 Laver Cup. Tsitsipas would be hoping to win the crucial and go far in the BNP Paribas Open, as he is willing to return to the Top 10.
