Argentine tennis player and current World No. 67 Pedro Cachin is gearing up for his highly anticipated first-round clash against the reigning champion, Novak Djokovic, at Wimbledon 2023. Interestingly, Cachin recently expressed excitement at the prospect of facing Djokovic. The two are set to face off on center court, Wimbledon. Talk about making a debut at Wimbledon!

“I was talking to a friend on Tuesday and telling him that if I had to face a difficult opponent, I hoped it was against Novak. It’s the kind of game I’m going to tell everyone, whether it’s in a café, in a bowling alley, in Bell Ville. Hailing from Bell Ville, the Argentine has come a long way in his tennis career. Starting on the Challenger circuit, Cachin steadily climbed the rankings and showcased his potential. He won four challenger titles in 2022, in a season that also marked his Grand Slam debut. His exploits in 2022 gave him a career high ranking of No. 54.

He made his masters debut at the 2023 Indian wells, defeating former finalist Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round. Thanks to more success at the challenger level, Cachin earned a spot in the main draw at Wimbledon. Cachin is set to make his main draw debut against Djokovic.
