American tennis player Peyton Stearns recently reacted to a fan misplacing her for Australian Taylah Preston on social media. However, Stearns wasn’t offended by this. She seemed to take it as a joke and sent out a hilarious response directed at the source account.
Peyton Stearns, who has long blonde hair like Taylah Preston and also wears Nike kits was mistakenly recognised by the latter. Stearns is still recovering since her early exit from the Dubai Tennis championships where she had shockingly ousted Mirra Andreeva in the first round.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Taylah Preston has reached the semifinals of the Puerto Vallarta Open defeating Yulia Starodubtsewa in the quarterfinals. The picture the fan posted on X was Taylah Preston celebrating her win against the Ukrainian.
Peyton Stearns then reacted to the honest mistake trying to get in touch with the source account posting the picture.

Stearns has been struggling to get past the second round of all tournaments she has competed in this season. However, still young as a pro, with just less than two years of experience.
Recalling Peyton Stearns’ brilliant run on her debut US Open
Peyton Stearns took the tennis world by surprise when she reached the US Open round of 16 in her first full season on the tour. The tennis star who turned pro in 2022.
The one-time NCAA champion began her US Open campaign by defeating Viktoriya Tomova 6-3, 6-0 in a straight set. She then defeated Clara Tauson and Katie Boulter in the second and third rounds without dropping a set.

However, Stearns is currently ranked at No. 65 due to her several losses this season. She will be hoping to turn the tide around in the Indian Wells tournament.
