Political activist Charlie Kirk calls out the ‘disgraceful’ American government for not allowing Novak Djokovic to compete in the 2022 US Open

21-time Grand Slam champion and 3-time US Open champ Novak Djokovic‘s chances of competing in the upcoming 2022 US Open get slimmer every day as the Government of the USA continues to hold their fort of not allowing unvaccinated foreigners into the country. In the updated policy of foreign travellers, proof of vaccination is a must while the requirement for a negative RT-PCR has been pardoned.
Djokovic has also remained adamant about not getting vaccinated against Covid-19 and is ready to miss the Grand Slam although he hopes and prays that a change of rule takes place and he is allowed to compete in the final Grand Slam of the season where he will be the heavy favourite for his 4th US Open title and 22nd Grand Slam title.

“The US Gov’t will let millions of unvaccinated illegals stream across the border”: Charlie Kirk on Novak Djokovic’s situation
Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, recently criticised his country’s government for its stance as unvaccinated players are allowed to compete in the Grand Slam provided they are US nationals. Kirk took to Twitter to express his disappointment with the ruling over the case of Djokovic.
“So let me get this straight. The US Gov’t will let millions of unvaccinated illegals stream across the border and buy them plane tickets to anywhere they want to go, but they won’t let the world’s best tennis player come to New York and compete in the US Open? This is a disgrace,” tweeted Kirk.
With the US Open set to begin on 29th August in New York, the next 5 weeks will be very tense for Novak and Joe Biden-led US government as many of their politicians and citizens have spoken against the decision to rule out Djokovic while allowing unvaccinated homegrown players to play in the Grand Slam.
