“Pretty happy that I’m entertaining people” Iga Swiatek speaks on her being a “Meme Queen”

Iga Swiatek is going through a great phase in her career, winning four consecutive tournaments. She has a 4-0 final record this year and no one looks strong enough to stop her right now. She won the Stuttgart Open and she was also involved in a bit of a hilarious situation during the match.
It was the break between the match and she wanted to rehydrate. She picked up the bottle and the bottle was opened, so it spilled over. Her reaction to the whole situation was quite amusing as she looked clueless as to what had happened. She took some seconds to understand the situation and then shook her head and carried on.

Iga Swiatek gave an interview to the WTA after the win at WTA Stuttgart Open and she talked about a lot of stuff including the whole spillage incident. She said:
“I know there’s a nice GIF of that on the internet. That’s also entertainment. I’m pretty happy that I’m entertaining to people.For a second I didn’t know what is going on. I saw the cameraman and I thought, ‘Shoot, he must be laughing.”
She also accepted that she was already experienced in the meme department.
” I was already a meme queen at my middle school. But that was pretty mean from the other kids. But I was. Maybe that’s another thing I was born to do.”
This meme is not at the expense of Iga, or somebody being mean. It’s just her usual self and the pickle she found herself in was hilarious. Twitter has always been a fan of Swiatek and the amazing tennis she has shown this year. But, her usual self is also being appreciated by the people. There were some other funny clips that fans have found hilarious.
It’s refreshing to see the fun side of a champion player destroying the opposition ruthlessly for all these months.
