The main draw of Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Stuttgart Open 2023 will begin today. With the qualifiers already underway, one of the most exciting tournaments on clay has a draw of 32 for singles and 16 for doubles. 8 out of the current WTA top 10 are going to participate in the event. World no. 1 Iga Swiatek won the last Stuttgart Open after defeating Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets. The two players are top seeded in 2023 tournament. In doubles, Dutch player Demi Schuurs and USA’s Desirae Krawczyk defeated the pair of Coco Gauff and Zhang Shuai 6-3, 6-4.

Emma Raducanu, who is a Porsche brand ambassador, received a wild card entry for the tournament. Other elite names to join the tournament are Ons Jabeur, Maria Sakkari, Paula Badosa, Caroline Garcia and Daria Kasatkina, to name a few.

The tournament will be held in the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart’s NeckarPark. Laura Ceccarelli, the on-site WTA supervisor, said that “The Porsche Arena is the most beautiful hall in tennis.”

The total prize money at the 2023 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is $897,733. This is an increase of 18.45% compared to last year. Last year’s winner Iga Swiatek won $116,341 whereas this year the champion will take away $120,150 along with a brand new Porsche Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo. The prize money is merely a 3.5% increase from last year for the Singles winner.
