Rafael Nadal, the tennis legend, has recently admitted his astonishment at Novak Djokovic’s remarkable feat of clinching three Grand Slam titles after a year to forget. Rafael Nadal, who has had an incredible career himself, praised the Serb, eliciting a plethora of reactions online.

For the uninitiated, Novak Djokovic has surpassed all legends and joined Margaret Court with 24 single Grand Slam titles. The Serb has entered the finals of all four prestigious Grand Slams and won three of them, much to the delight of his fans.

In the end, we all know that Djokovic is what he is & that he has achieved something historic, something that had never been achieved before & we can only congratulate him. I imagined Djokovic winning Grand Slams this season, but I didn't imagine that he could win three because the younger generation is very powerful.

With the younger generation rising so quickly and achieving milestones faster than ever, Rafa admits to not having foreseen such an amazing run from the 36-year-old Novak. The Serb would have made it 4 out of 4, but unfortunately lost to Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon finals.

Rafael Nadal credits Alcaraz for beating Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon finals

In a recent interview on EFE, Rafael Nadal has acknowledged his fellow mate Carlos Alcaraz for beating Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon finals.

Alcaraz had a great opportunity to avoid that at Roland Garros, but what happened to him happened to him, unfortunately. But he later made up for it at Wimbledon and achieved something historic for our sport.

Earlier this year, Carlos lost to Novak in the Roland Garros by a close margin, but they battled it out again, where the youngster managed to get his revenge and hamper Djokovic’s record at the finals of Wimbledon.

The Spaniard is preparing hard for his possible comeback at the 2024 Australian Open, and he openly credited Novak for his remarkable feat this year. Many players dream of having such an outstanding season, and Novak, who was out of two major Grand Slam titles in 2022, made a phenomenal comeback. With Nadal’s possible comeback, fans are also awaiting another showdown between the two legends.
