Rafael Nadal, the Spanish sensation continues to be in the groove as he gears up for another comeback. After his last comeback was cut short due to an injury scare, the Spaniard will give it another shot to find his way in the tour before the French Open.

Having practised in hard courts for a long time, the 37-year-old faced a tough loss in Brisbane against Jordan Thompson. Following the loss, he also revealed the devastating news of another injury which saw him out of the Australian Open. Promising to be back, the fans did not expect it to be this early. Nadal had previously announced to play at the Doha Open to achieve a smooth transition between the courts.

Eliminating the risk of court changes that often, Nadal and his team have decided to play on the hard court before slowly phasing into the clay courts. Recently, the 22-time Grand Slam champion revealed his plans to play the Barcelona Open. This will be the first step to his clay court return and fans are excited as always to witness the ‘King Of Clay’ back on his preferred courts.

According to Tennis World USA, he will be up against his compatriot Carlos Alcaraz and the deadly Andrey Rublev in the tournament, making it an exciting one. With news of Nadal returning, more fans are expected to be present, increasing the economy of the place. 

The tournament scheduled to begin on the 13th of April gives the Spaniard a couple of months to be fully fit and ready on the courts of Barcelona. Alcaraz is a two-time champion in this tournament and is definitely one of the favorites of this tournament. Organizers scored a major coup as they managed to pull the 20-year-old rising star as well as his compatriot, the evergreen Nadal. Fans have taken this news with extreme enthusiasm as it means that Nadal will return to the clay courts and will surely hope to witness the two Spaniards compete against each other.
