Rafael Nadal, the record holder of most singles Grand Slam titles, has been playing the best of his game this year. He started this year with the win at 2022 Australian Open and the 2022 French Open simultaneously. He looked in great form with back-to-back wins at the SW19. But his 7mm abdominal tear incurred during the quarter-final match at the 2022 Wimbledon Championship followed by his withdrawal from the semi-final match against Nick Kyrgios ended his running for a calendar Grand Slam.

Currently, he is recovering from his injury and is expected to return at the ATP 1000 Montreal & Cincinnati Masters event, followed by the US Open which starts next month. He is making the most of his recovery time to get himself recharged and ready for the upcoming big tournaments.

He is looking forward to a great hard-court season. The Spaniard will be looking for his 23rd Grand Slam title since there is still no confirmation if Novak Djokovic will be played at the US Open.
