“No infiltration no gain no win” Rafael Nadal bashed on social media after another disappointing defeat at the ATP Finals against Felix Auger Aliassime

Rafael Nadal - FirstSportz
22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal faced a shocking defeat at the hands of the young Felix Auger Aliassime at the 2022 ATP Finals in straight sets 6-3,6-4. It was his second loss of the tournament as he succumbed to the Canadian in 1 hour and 56 minutes. Nadal faced his fourth consecutive loss in the year which has happened only twice throughout his career.
Nadal stands 0-2 in the Green Group where the other players have at least managed a single win in their kitty. He has a fantastic start to the year and claimed two Grand Slam titles but his form has been hampered since his abdominal injury at Wimbledon. The 36-year-old Spaniard even faced a shocking first-round exit at the Paris Masters.
His two consecutive defeats at the Year-end Championship proved quite lethal since he hasn’t won a single match since his loss at the US Open. Less practice time affected his play as he failed to convert two break points early in the game. Though Nadal played some amazing shots and tried to own the match, Aliassime was the better player. The 22-year-old fought with dignity and gave the former World No 1 a tough time to register his first win in the ATP Finals.
Rafael Nadal managed to win 59 points in the match whereas the Canadian won 70 points. Though the Mallorcan had 19 unforced errors as to Aliassime’s 23, the accuracy in first serves differentiated the result. World No 2 won 72% of his first serves while World No 6 won 81% of his first service games. He was the top seed of the tournament since World No 1 Carlos Alcaraz withdrew citing a similar injury as the 14-time French Open champion.
Twitter bashes Rafael Nadal for another shocking loss at the 2022 ATP Finals

People on social media were left shocked and disheartened at the back-to-back losses by Rafael Nadal at the ATP Finals. They bashed him and went on to point out the fact that his downfall has started and questioned his losses against the young guys. In his first match, he was handed a shocking defeat by Taylor Fritz and blamed himself for the loss.
The Spaniard legend hasn’t won a single title in Turin and was hopeful to have a great campaign. But with the loss against Aliassime, his hopes for a title win look impossible as his chances depend on the match result between Taylor Fritz and Casper Ruud.
