In a recent Spanish Podcast, Toni Nadal, the uncle of Rafael Nadal spoke about his nephew’s possible return and run at the Australian Open. As Nadal has not any tennis in 2023, he will be unranked when he plays the Australian Open which will result in him getting seeded with a tough opponent from the start. ” Toni Nadal revealed:

He will not be seeded, so he could face a high-level player. When Rafa plays a Grand Slam, he is usually given an affordable opponent to give him momentum, allowing him to be a dangerous threat from the quarter-finals onwards.
