The Tour has finally moved on to the clay season now, and every tennis fan out there has only one name to chant. It is the name of the ‘King of Clay’ Rafael Nadal. As the Spaniard gears up for a return to the court, fans have already declared him a favorite for the upcoming French Open. 

The tournament released a tweet with only two words: “CLAAAAAY SEASOOOON.” And as expected, fans have flooded the comment sections with pictures of Rafael Nadal, as he sure makes it to the top of the favorites list.

Fans went absolutely berserk on the online platform, spamming the comment section with pictures of Nadal. Notably, it seems like although the tournament is not on for another month, the clear favorite has already been declared.

For the uninitiated, the Spaniard has built a legacy at Roland Garros as he looks to play yet another season on the clay courts, possibly for the last time. The tennis great holds a 112-3 win/lose record with 14 Grand Slam titles to his name at the French Open, making him a favorite, injured or not. 

However, Nadal has not been available for most of the season so far but is now all set to return for the clay season. Well, after all, it is his favorite time of the year.

As one of the main highlights of the tournament, Nadal will star alongside other ATP pros in the clay tournament. Gearing up for the ultimate French Open, this tournament is one of the first steps, but the fans are already one step ahead, having declared Nadal a favorite.
