The 22-time Grand Slam champ, Rafael Nadal, is thrilled to team up with young tennis talent Carlos Alcaraz at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In a recent interview with AS, Nadal expressed his desire to play with Alcaraz. He said that he sees himself playing the role of a motivator more than a partner for the young Spaniard. In what might be his last season before retiring, he also highlighted the promise and accomplishments of the upcoming young players.
With 2 Olympic medals already, the 14-time French Open Champion is eyeing a third. Provided his health allows. When discussing the possibility of playing doubles with Alcaraz in the Olympics next year, Nadal gave a clear response. He said, “If I’m in good shape and he’s up for it, I’d be thrilled.”

Nadal also expressed his admiration for the pure essence of sport and his past experiences. However, he clarified that he hadn’t discussed the idea of playing doubles with Carlos at all, until this point.
