Tennis legend Bjorn Borg has given his insight into the career of another legend of the sport, Rafael Nadal. Having been sidelined with injuries for over ten months now, tennis fans fear whether or not the Spaniard will be able to step foot on the court by the start of next year.
In an exclusive interview with Eurosport, Borg gave his views on the future of the 22-time Grand Slam title winner. Rafael Nadal has had a career that many tennis stars dream of at the start of their professional debut.

He has had an everlasting impact on many next-gen prospects, and now as he catches up with his age, the great man is finally looking to bid the sport a final goodbye on a high. Many fans expect that the next Roland Garros could be the event where Nadal plans to stage his farewell.
Borg, on the other hand, feels that Nadal would never be ashamed to end his career now that he has achieved so much and after tirelessly fighting against several injuries. Borg feels that it is time for him to finally be able to put his body to rest. He said:
I think Rafa [Nadal], like you said, he's not going to be in the top 10 for so many years now. But I think he's a very happy guy.
Bjorn Borg’s statement on Rafa Nadal’s future
Bjorn Borg gave his view on the future of Rafa Nadal’s illustrious career. He feels that the Spaniard’s body is not cooperating with his urge for more glory, but he will be around for a year or two.

Borg said:
I mean, what he achieved in tennis, he will still want to continue to play. Maybe the body is not working 100%, but he still wants to play.” There is still no news about Nadal's return to the court and the reports suggest that it is very unlikely that he becomes fully fit for the upcoming Australian Open next year.
Borg also stated that there is nothing more for Nadal to prove and that his achievement in the sport speaks volumes in terms of contribution.
