Rafael Nadal is synonymous with tennis, and Kia, the multinational automaker is banking on this image. Australian Open 2023 is all-set to embark on its 111th edition. At this time, the 22-time Grand Slam champion is the brand ambassador for Kia Motors. He launched a 130-strong fleet of Kia cars exclusively made for the event. The Kia cars will ferry officials and players to the venue and back to their hotel rooms.
The Australian Open shared a video on social media of this event. The Spaniard was seen posing for photographs with Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley and Kia Australia chief Damien Meredith.
“We could not be more delighted that Kia is extending what is already one of the longest partnerships in Australian sport for another five years. We deeply value our partnership with Kia which has helped the AO to grow and evolve into the globally recognised sport and entertainment event it is today. Kia and the Australian Open are synonymous in many people’s minds, and we look forward to building on this strong and unique partnership for years to come,” Craig Tiley said on the occasion.
Rafael Nadal is going to participate in the Australian Open for the 18th time in his career.

The 2-time Australian Open champion is ready to defend his title Down Under. However, he has to pass a few hurdles before he can lay his hands on the trophy. Jack Draper will be his first opponent in this tournament. He will take on either Mackenzie McDonald or Brandon Nakashima in the second round. In the fourth round, either American Frances Tiafoe or Russian Karen Khachanov will be waiting for him. The quarter-final encounter will either be against Hubert Hurkacz or Australian Open 2022 finalist Daniil Medvedev. The victory in the Quarter-Finals will give him a chance to play either against Stefanos Tsitsipas or Felix Auger-Aliassime or young Italian Jannik Sinner.
In reaching the final, he will play against either 2022 French Open finalist Casper Ruud, or nine-time Australian Open champion Andrey Rublev to claim the Australian Open title for the third time in his career.
