Rafael Nadal, the Spanish Maestro has been one of the most loved tennis players of all time. He is known for his resilience and strength both off and on the court. However, in recent times, the Spanish legend has been seen preparing for his comeback next year but has also been seen with his newly born son.

In a recent interview, he shed light on the greatness of being a father and revealed a different side of him which was new for the fans. Rafael Nadal also answered when asked if it is easier with a child at home.

Being a first-time parent, Nadal has to juggle between being a parent and a professional player.

I have always taken things well. But in that sense, of course, having a child at home who is also the first is always special, because, of course, it makes you happy in many moments. But I think that without it I would have been fine too, because I have accepted and tolerated it well throughout my life. But without a doubt, it helps and gives me happiness.

Further, the 22-time Grand Slam champ is still recovering from an injury and so he admits that is difficult. But he revealed that his son brings him happiness. Despite his injuries, Nadal is laser-focused on returning to the grand stage.

In a recent interview with Marca, Nadal provided an update on his health but remained silent about a potential return to the 2024 Australian Open. He mentioned feeling good both personally and physically, expressing enthusiasm and dedication to a swift recovery.

He also spoke about the discomfort he is facing as a side effect of a complicated hip surgery. He said: 

I had hip surgery and the discomfort is more tolerable now than it was a week ago. And this is the positive. 

With recurring injuries, Nadal has been out of the game for a year and his rankings also have taken a huge hit. As the Spaniard prepares for a possible farewell season, he is ready to entertain his fans till his last game.
