Rafael Nadal, the 36-year-old Spaniard has been widely regarded as one of the best players ever in the sport of tennis, with 22 Grand Slam titles to his name which is the most of any player. He was looking to make it 23 at this year’s Wimbledon but had to pull out of the tournament before facing Nick Kyrgios in the semi-finals.

Nadal is scheduled to play in Chile around the end of the year for an exhibition match, he will be facing Alejandro Tabilo from Chile in the match. Sponsored by the Fashion Museum Foundation, the exhibition match is scheduled for November this year, the venue where the tie will take place has not yet been decided.

The return to Chile will be Nadal’s first visit there in 9 years as he last played there in 2013 with Novak Djokovic and Nicolás Massú. The Sausalito stadium in Viña del Mar, San Carlos de Apoquindo, and Santa Laura are the front runners for being chosen as the venue for the match, the game against Tabilo comes as a part of Nadal’s South America tour where he is also scheduled to visit Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador.

The 36-year-old had to pull out of the 2022 Wimbledon with an abdominal tear, he injured himself during the quarter-finals of the SW19 against Taylor Fritz, he beat the American in a sensational comeback and a display of never giving up spirit but that was cut short after he had to pull out of the tournament due to the injury, through his injury, Nick Kyrgios got a walkover to the finals where he lost to Novak Djokovic who win his 21 Grand Slam title.
