Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will be playing an exhibition match against each other in Las Vegas on March 3, 2024 and it will be streamed live on Netflix.

The streaming company does not do many live sporting events but when it does, they make sure that it is grand in every way possible. It is being called the ‘Netflix Slam’ and will be steamed live from Las Vegas’ Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

Alcaraz is currently the World No. 2 in ATP rankings and is considered one of the best players out there right now. He is just 20-year-old and is also said to be the next big thing in tennis.

Nadal, on the other hand, is a legend of the sport. The 22-time Grand Slam winner has won it all and is in the twilight of his career. The match is thus between the present and future tennis stars of Spain.

Netflix has revealed that while the Alcaraz vs. Nadal match will be the main attraction of the event, they will also be announcing additional matches and players at a later date. For now, it has been confirmed that the stream will be available in two languages – Spanish and English.

Netflix does not really do Live streams often and when they did it for the first time last month with F1 drivers and professional golfers, they faced some audio and framerate issues.

However, the stream did not crash. They will hope to resolve these issues this time as this event will definitely draw a lot more traffic than their previous ones as it features two heavyweights from the world of tennis.

He has been named in the entry list of the Australian Open, thanks to his protected ranking.
