The much-awaited exhibition clash between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz is fast approaching. Named the ‘Netflix Slam’, the event will be held in Las Vegas later this week. The match has been arranged by Netflix, one of the world’s biggest OTT platforms.

The match will be the ‘headliner’ for the event where other matches are also expected to be played. Competing in those are World No. 10 Taylor Fritz, World No. 16 Frances Tiafoe, retired servebot John Isner, and American veteran Sam Querrey.

The details of the matches involving these four Americans are yet to be disclosed. The battle of the two Spaniards would however have a lot of fans tuning in. So far, the two have met thrice in official matches with Nadal leading the head-to-head 2-1.

Rafa won the first two meetings, their second-round clash in the 2021 Madrid Masters, and their epic semi-final duel at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters. Alcaraz avenged his first loss by defeating the ‘King of Clay’ in the quarter-finals of the 2022 Madrid Masters before going on to win the title.

Both the players have charged a massive sum for their appearance at the event. As per multiple reports, the two Spaniards could walk away with nearly $2 million for their appearance followed by their tennis clinic sessions.

The match will be played at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort, with MGM Resorts International hosting. It will be a star-studded affair. For traditional Spanish speakers, legends David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez will call the action in Spanish.
