Rafael Nadal won his 22nd Grand Slam and his 14th title at the French Open 2022, taking a 2 Slam lead in the race against his contemporaries, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. The year 2022 has been magical for Rafa as he won the Australian Open 2022, after a long wait of 13 years and in a manner that can only be called miraculous. He was also suffering from foot pain when he decided to play in the French Open 2022.
He was not counted as one of the favorites in his biggest arena and he made a fierce statement by demolishing Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinal, with a numb foot. He then went on to win his 14th Roland Garros title, winning both the Australian Open and the French Open in the same year for the first time. But Rafa has got another and probably the biggest reason to celebrate. He is expecting his first child with his wife Mary Perello.

Rafael Nadal will soon become a father.
According to El Mundo, and Hola, Rafael Nadal and his wife Mery Perello are expecting their first child. Nadal and Perello dated for 14 years before the longtime couple tied the knot in 2019. They are now set to become parents and begin a new adventure to raise a child.
It feels like a certainty that Nadal will compete in the Wimbledon 2022 and he will use this good news as a source of motivation to try and bring home one more Grand Slam as a gift for his first child.
