Guillermo Coria, the former world No. 3 tennis player and current captain of the Argentina Davis Cup team, was interviewed by the ATP site in Miami where he was accompanied by his young son. During the interview, Coria was asked about rising star Carlos Alcaraz, who is currently the talk of the tennis world.

Guillermo Coria, known for his expertise in shot placement, naturally acknowledged the mastery of the young tennis sensation, Carlos Alcaraz, who is the youngest player in history to achieve a world No. 1 ranking in his age group. He said “Alcaraz’s amortization is impressive, he’s a very intelligent player, who reads the game very well. He hits his amortizations when necessary. He is always on his guard, and the best thing about him is that he hides them very well. This makes it even more complete.

Andy Murray, a former world No. 1 tennis player, believes that Carlos Alcaraz possesses all the qualities necessary to sustain his position at the top of men’s tennis for as long as he desires. Murray hopes that Alcaraz remains healthy and continues to play with the same style that propelled him to the top of the rankings. Alcaraz made history in September by winning the U.S Open and becoming the youngest player ever to reach the top of the world rankings at the age of 19. However, he suffered an abdominal injury in November at the Paris Masters and was forced to withdraw from the Australian Open due to a leg problem.

After briefly losing his top ranking to 22-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz bounced back to the top spot by claiming victory at the Indian Wells tournament. He is now getting ready to defend his Miami Open title. He said “He has an excellent game, an all-around game that I think will translate well onto all surfaces,”

Andy Murray described Carlos Alcaraz as a tennis player who, despite not being the tallest, possesses an impressive serve and excellent athletic ability. Murray noted that Alcaraz has a diverse skill set and is not afraid to take the ball early. Murray hopes that Alcaraz continues to play with this style, which is exciting to watch, even though he acknowledges that it may become more challenging as the young player gains more experience and faces tougher opposition. Murray warned fans not to place too much pressure or expectation on Alcaraz’s shoulders.
