The two greatest tennis players in the history of the game being compared to the two greatest clubs in the history of football seemed to be very fitting. The comparison makes you think a lot about the nature of the two players and the two clubs playing and finding the resemblance in it.
To some extent, it does seem true that Rafael Nadal, the most decorated tennis player in the history of tennis, is compared to a team known for winning championships. Both have seen some lows but have managed to come out of them and shine at the biggest stage once again. They have always exceeded the expectations people have from them and have managed to pull surprising wins in their respective games.
On the other hand, Roger Federer and FC Barcelona have a legacy attached to their names. The two are the most successful in their respective fields. They are known for their dynamic style of play and are always competitive. Similar to any team or person in a sport they have experienced crushing blows but have always managed to pull themselves together and surprise the world.

The two teams and players have had some of the best rivalries against each other. Watching some of the greatest Federer and Nadal matches is as big a treat as watching an El Classico featuring some of the greatest footballers and athletes in the world.
