Roger Federer, who has shaped the world of tennis into a more respected sport, has recently revealed the other activities he has been part of. Notably, the former tennis professional has transitioned into different ventures, including designing shoes, clothes, and tennis rackets. He remains attached to the sport more than the fans know about it.

“I was thinking, so okay, you stop and then there’s nothing left to do. But it’s not like that at all. I’m still very busy with all my partners together and then also for the foundation. I’m designing shoes, clothes, tennis racquets. So I’m still fully involved and I’m always very happy when there’s a new project for me.” said Federer in a live interview with EuroSports. The Swiss himself was surprised by the number of projects he had after his retirement.

Federer further continued that tennis is in a good place even without Rafael Nadal and himself. He strongly believes that young players are doing better than him and are dominating the current world of tennis. “The new players have interesting personalities, and tennis is still right up there in the world of sport, and that is beautiful for me to see,” said the 20-time Grand Slam title champion.

Federer contributed to the world by working with the UN

In the interview with Eurosports, Federer revealed his contributions to the UN, where he helps children who cannot afford education. As per the Swiss legend himself, he is working for early learning so that the young generation can receive proper education and other opportunities in life. “I was also at the UN right now, working for early learning in the world so that hopefully more children can go to school because that needs a lot more money and a lot more opportunities from the big countries,” said Roger.

Notably, the Swiss champion will be present at the 2023 Laver’s Cup to witness the youngsters battle it out. With up-and-coming tennis professionals like Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton, Coco Gauff, and more, Federer believes that the sport is in the right hands and that tennis is in a healthy place. However, interestingly, he does regret not being able to play for a few more years. Despite this, he is currently watching the game very closely and has been even more involved in it than before.
