Former tennis player and legend of the game Roger Federer has been enjoying his time after retirement. From visiting different places to spending time with his family, Federer has gone completely wayward, giving a true indication of how happy he is with his life after retirement.
Last night, Federer was spotted with his family in the stands of the Stade de France for the 2023 Rugby World Cup final.
Being a half-South African and still supporting his roots whenever possible, a video of Federer being glued to the game has gone viral on Twitter. It took him a while to realize that the camera was on him as the Swiss star waved towards the crowd and thereby also received a huge reception from the fans.
For the uninitiated, Federer’s mother, Lynette, holds both South African and Swiss citizenship, and she was seen sitting alongside Roger, Mirka, and her grandkids at the stadium.
South Africa eventually lifted the Webb Ellis Cup by defeating New Zealand 12-11 in what was a thrilling final. Federer was thrilled with the performance of the South African players and later went inside the dressing room to personally congratulate the athletes who gave their all on the pitch to defend the title.
Roger Federer opens up about his time after retirement:
Federer has been quite busy after his retirement, this time not with tours or matches but with promotions and events. Considering the great career he has had, he is now more likely to be called up as a guest in different parts of the world.
So it's been good honestly, I have to be careful I don't do too many things, you know? But at the same time, I am really happy to be busy and I like being with other people, love being with my family, and I love to travel. But I guess sometimes, I try to make sure I get the right balance and I feel like I have that, so, things are great. He said in an ATP Tennis Radio Podcast
Despite that, the former tennis proffesional declares that he is trying to not keep himself too busy and wants to focus on his family as well as trying to keep up the right work-life balance.
