Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli recently made a wonderful gesture for tennis legend Roger Federer. The Italian tenor was performing in Zurich, Sweden, on 20th November 2022 and the 20-time Grand Slam winner was one of the spectators in the event.
When Andrea Bocelli realized that Federer was present among the audience, he called him on the stage and it moved the tennis player so much that he started to cry.
Federer has been living his retired life to the fullest while also keeping in touch with tennis as much as possible. He recently made a farewell appearance at the 2023 Wimbledon, made a special appearance at the Laver Cup, and was also present at the Shanghai Masters. On 20th November, he was in his country, Switzerland, attending Andrea Bocelli’s concert when the incident took place.

The former Swiss ace is hands-down one of the greatest tennis players of all time. He made his debut at the 1998 Swiss Open at a very young age and retired finally at the 2022 Laver Cup after dominating the sport for over two decades. He has won everything there is to win in the sport and is one of the most recognizable faces in the world.
Federer has been famous ever since he started playing tennis but sometimes people just get overwhelmed after realizing the kind of love they usually get from their fans. That is perhaps what happened to him at the Andrea Bocelli concert.
The 42-year-old won 103 singles titles in his career, which is one of the highest ever by any tennis player, and also won 20 Grand Slam titles. However, the more important metric to judge his greatness would be his supreme playing style, for which he is popularly known as one of the best players ever in the history of tennis. It is said that every tennis player in the past two decades took up a racket because of Roger Federer.
Michael Stich suggests Roger Federer should have retired earlier
Former German tennis player Michael Stich has recently said that Roger Federer should have retired earlier while trying to defend his own decision to retire at the early age of 28. Federer did not retire at the top of his game and suffered at the top level in the last few tournaments of his life, which led to the German’s statement.
