Tennis legend Roger Federer has announced a new business venture, having inked a deal with high-end eyewear brand Oliver Peoples. The news was shared by Federer himself in a post on his Instagram story, which showed him wearing a pair of sunglasses from the company.
The partnership between Federer and Oliver Peoples is expected to result in the launch of a new line of eyewear that will bear the tennis star’s name. The Swiss player is known for his fashion sense and has previously collaborated with brands such as Nike and Uniqlo.

Fans will no doubt be eager to see what kind of eyewear designs Federer and Oliver Peoples will come up with, and whether they will follow the same sustainable principles that the tennis star has championed in his other ventures.

Swiss tennis icon Roger Federer has proven himself to be not just a sporting legend, but a financial powerhouse as well. According to reports, the athlete has earned a staggering $1 billion throughout his career, thanks to a range of sponsorships, endorsements, appearance fees, and exhibition events.
This eye-watering sum is more than double the career earnings of his closest rivals, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Federer is also one of just seven athletes across all sports to have surpassed the $1 billion milestone while still actively competing.
Part of Federer’s success can be attributed to his long-term partnerships with sponsors such as Mercedes-Benz, Rolex, and Credit Suisse, many of whom have been supporting him for more than a decade. Other sponsors in Federer’s endorsement portfolio include Uniqlo, Gillette, and Moët & Chandon.
However, his biggest deal to date was signed in 2018 when he left Nike to sign a 10-year, $300 million contract with Japanese brand Uniqlo. Prior to this, Nike had paid Federer $150 million over a period of 20 years.
