Roger Federer hits the tennis court once again coaching kids ahead of 2023 MET GALA duties

Roger Federer has warmed his fans’ hearts once again by hitting the ball and coaching kids in New York. The Swiss Maestro is in New York to host the MET GALA. His co-hosts are going to be singer Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Penelope Cruz, and Anna Wintour. Federer is doing a lot of touristy things in New York ahead of the event, like eating a proper New York burger. But what has become big news is him playing tennis with kids at the Michael Kates Terrace. One of the kids who knocked tennis balls with him posted snippets of the play session.
In the post, Roger Federer was seen observing the kids’ game and giving them some useful tips. He was also generous and took some photos and selfies with the kids on the court. Federer is also seen shaking and fist-bumping the kids in a fun way. Roger Federer has always been in the news for being around kids in tennis. In 2022, he played with a young player who he had once promised to play with.
The kid had requested Roger in 2017 to keep on playing for another seven or eight so that when he grows up to play professionally he can compete with Federer. So in 2022, Roger invited him to play an exhibition match with him.
He had recently posted a picture of him airborne on his way to New York, hyping the MET GALA event. Roger Federer is constantly marketing the event and also keeping connectivity with the sport going on by hitting the ball with kids. After all, he is the flag bearer of the sport and one of the most revered names of tennis of this generation.
Roger Federer making headways in different ventures
Roger Federer is not one to lay back and rest, post-retirement. He is actively pursuing his other interests and ventures off the court. He recently announced a new business venture, having struck a deal with the luxurious eyewear brand Oliver Peoples. Roger Federer is the brand ambassador of Swiss Tourism. Together with Trevor Noah, he has created quite a noise for Switzerland tourism, in a hilarious way though.
Roger Federer has also continued his endorsement with Rolex. He has also invested in ‘ON Running’ a Swiss sports brand and is one of the largest shareholders. Women’s world no. 1 Iga Swiatek and rising American tennis player, Ben Shelton debuted the ON Running sports brand in March. Roger is set to increase his wealth further despite not making any money in court. He is displaying sharp business acumen. And his fans are waiting for what will be his next venture.
