Retired tennis star Roger Federer was recently spotted at the 2023 Biathlon World Cup in Switzerland, where he caught up with Tarjei Boe and Emilien Jacquelin – two absolute legends of the game. Biathlon is a winter sport that combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting and is treated as a race. It is also played at the Winter Olympics.
Federer has been spotted at a lot of events lately, ever since his retirement and everywhere he goes, he has all eyes on him. This year, he was spotted at the Wimbledon and Laver Cup where he was honored, at the Miami Grand Prix, several concerts, and at many other places. The 20-time Grand Slam winner is thus making the most of his retired life.
The two biathlon players that Federer met are legends in their sport. Tarjei Boe has 3 Olympic golds, 11 World Championship golds, and 38 World Cup golds. He is considered to be arguably the best biathlete ever.
Emilien Jacquelin, on the other hand, has two Olympic silvers, four World Championship golds and seven World Cup golds. The video of Federer having a chat with them was posted by the IBU (International Biathlon Union).

Recently, Federer was featured in a commercial for the French winery company Moet & Chandon. In the commercial, the company celebrates two decades of Roger Federer’s legacy and launches their exclusive limited edition magnum bottle named “Greatness since 1998.” To put things in context, Roger Federer made his debut in 1998.
Roger Federer rekindles his love for skiing
Roger Federer’s appearance at the Biathlon World Cup 2023 was not an accident. In fact, the tennis legend loves skiing, and he started skiing again this year after his retirement after a long gap of 15 years. It’s definitely one of the positives that he is enjoying in his retired life.
In January, Federer posted a video of him skiing on ice on Instagram with the caption, “It’s been 15years, it feels so good to be back on the slopes #newbeginnings”.
In fact, comedian Trevor Noah revealed in March 2023 that Federer loves to brag about his skiing skills.
Every time I talk to Roger, you know, he’ll always brag about skiing and he’ll always be like, ‘I’m skiing, what are you doing in life Trevor? Nothing!Trevor Noah (H/T: Financial Times)
Apart from that, he is mostly busy with his brand deals. Recently, he has also started to focus on his new brand, ‘On Running’.
