20-time Grand Slam title champion Roger Federer is enjoying his time away from the sport, as can be seen from his appearance at the Sporthilfe Super10Kampf 2023. The unannounced appearance from the Swiss legend was met with a standing ovation from a 12,000-strong crowd at the Hallenstadion in Zurich on Friday.

For the uninitiated, the event plays host to some of the biggest stars of Swiss sport, who compete in six teams in thrilling duels and fun sports games. The proceeds from the event go towards supporting Swiss athletes. Federer has sponsored 40 talented athletes for 100,000 francs a year, many of whom he met at the event last night.

You’ve made it this far and now it’s really getting started for you. Of course financial support is essential, but it’s also about showing that you believe in a talent. This form of support gives an athlete a wonderful feeling. Especially at the beginning of a career, you can achieve a lot with this sponsorship.

Roger Federer joins South Africa’s trophy parade on Instagram Live

Former World No.1 tennis player Roger Federer’s event-hopping over the past few months took him to Stade de France in Paris. The Swiss legend was present in the stands as the Springboks (South Africa) edged past All-blacks (New Zealand) to defend their title and win a 4th Rugby World Cup title. Federer, wearing a South Africa scarf, was greeted by South Africa’s captain Siya Kolisi during the post-match celebrations.

Federer’s mother, Lynette, holds both South African and Swiss citizenship, and she was seen sitting alongside Roger, Mirka, and her grandkids at the stadium. Federer later joined South Africa’s trophy parade through the streets of the country on Instagram Live.

Earlier, he was seen at Mercedes’ latest event in Shanghai. The German automotive company first onboarded Federer in 2008, and the partnership is still going strong. The 42-year-old gets around $5 million annually from this contract.
