Even after a year of retirement from tennis, the Swiss maestro, Roger Federer always remains in the limelight for some reason or the other. Just months ago, Roger made his stage debut in a Coldplay concert. He was the fifth member of the band and was designated the role of a shaker.

Recently, Roger Federer traveled to Vancouver, Canada, to attend the Laver Cup this year. He has surprisingly reunited with his Coldplay members, Chris Martin and Johnny Buckland. They were seen sitting in the stands watching the matches and engaging in discussions with each other.

Roger Federer sat beside his Coldplay members during the match between Casper Ruud and Tommy Paul. Last year, his association with the brand created quite a stir, and his reunion with them has also left fans in awe. Federer continues to remain a stellar attraction in the Laver Cup despite retirement.

Roger Federer is attending the 3-day Laver Cup Tournament. He openly supports Team Europe and has advised newcomers on how to go about it. The former World No.1 has himself led the Team to victory in the years 2017, 2018, and 2019. He retired last year around this time following the completion of the Laver Cup 2022 leaving the sport forever.

Roger Federer opened up about his musical cameo with Coldplay

In an on-court interview with former American player Jim Courier, Roger Federer revealed that he received an invitation from the Coldplay band to join their concert in Zurich. He mentioned that he was hesitant initially, but his daughter encouraged him to do it, and he was quite happy that he had not let go of this opportunity.

The 20-time Grand Slam Champion also talked about his experience on stage and said, ” So I was like, I’ll go on stage, I’ll do it and of course I enjoyed it. I finished on top. This was my music career. I dropped the mic and I was good.” An opportunity hardly comes twice and Federer grabbed it very well.
