During a press conference at the US Open in 2017, a courageous young man named Izyan Ahmad, sometimes known as “Zizou,” asked Roger Federer an essential question with a loaded follow-up.

This little friend Zizou was recently spotted at the women’s US Open final as a trophy presenter. He was seen presenting a trophy to the 19 year old champion champion Coco Gauff.

The boy became famous when he asked a particular question to the tennis veteran.

He asked, “Can you please continue to play for eight, nine years so that I can play you when I go pro?” “Yes!” exclaimed Federer.

Is that a promise?” responded Ahmad. “Pinky promise,” the smiling Swiss said.

Federer honored the promise in a unique fashion five years later, in collaboration with his sponsor Barilla and the Boomerang agency.Ahmad was flown to Zurich for a training session in June, or so he believed. When “employees” of the tennis club approached Ahmad, he was a continual ray of sunlight with Federer covertly looking at his every move. The two played a game as promised.

The youngster was in his element, trading forehands, serves, and even tweeners with his idol. Ahmad’s mesmerizing smile never left his face, and Federer did the same.

Who came out on top in the end? A plate of spaghetti appeared just in time to prevent either of them from answering that question.

She is only the third American teenager to win the US Open singles title this century. Serena Williams, another renowned female American player, did it in 1999, before Gauff was even born. Gauff regained her composure after giving Sabalenka the opening set. Despite the circumstances, she maintained her cool in the midst of the storm.

Aryna Sabalenka had 16 unforced errors in the deciding set, while Gauff committed two. Finally, Sabalenka was annoyed by Gauff’s strong defense, leading to a match-high 46 unforced errors.
