Novak Djokovic is set to compete in the Italian Open in Rome. The ATP World No.1 singles player has won the tournament six times and will surely be gunning for a seventh. The ATP Masters 1000 tournament is set to be held in Rome from May 10th to May 21st. The best players of the game will compete as they will be getting ready to head to Paris for the French Open.

Djokovic is expected to reach the Quarterfinals of the tournament without much trouble. He could potentially meet Grigor Dimitrov and Stan Wawrinka in the earlier rounds. His Round of 16 opponent is likely to be Cameron Norrie or Alex de Minaur. It is expected of Novak Djokovic to get the better of either of them and qualify for the Quarters.

Holger Rune is also present in the other half of this draw. He is a player who could potentially win the title. Novak Djokovic could be facing him in the quarter-finals. This could surely be a hurdle for Djokovic to secure his 7th Italian Open title. Novak Djokovic has arrived in Rome as he will be competing to win the Internazionali BNL d’Italia for the 7th time. He is at the Foro Italico and this will be his 17th appearance at the ATP Masters 1000 event. The Internazionali BNL d’Italia tweeted a video of Novak Djokovic with the caption, ” The defending champion is back in Rome.”

Djokovic was seen practicing with Jannik Sinner on Monday. Sinner, who is currently the ATP World No.8, is the Italian favorite in this tournament. Novak Djokovic could be facing Jannik Sinner in the Semi-finals of the tournament. Jannik Sinner is a youngster with great potential and is among the favorites to win the tournament.
