Serena Williams and Diego Schwartzman honored with murals by the US Embassy in Argentina

The US Embassy in Argentina honored the tennis players Diego Schwartzman, Gabriela Sabatini, and Serena Williams by inaugurating their murals in the residence of the Ambassador of the USA in Argentina. The USA seeks to improve relations between the two countries through tennis.
The US Ambassador to Argentina Marc Stanley, Argentine Tennis Federation Vice-President Mariano Zabaleta, and both Diego Schwartzman and Gabriela Sabatini graced the event with their presence. The only significant person that was missing was Serena Williams.
This is the second time in the last few days that the 23-Grand Slam champion was honored with murals. Earlier, The Smithsonian and National Portrait Gallery honored her and Venus Williams. Meanwhile, Eminent sports journalist Fernando Vergara shared a post informing the world about the event.
Serena Williams was chosen to be depicted in a mural by The US Embassy as she is one of the most popular and celebrated American tennis stars in the world. Her glorious career is honored in various ways by different organizations and people. The US Embassy in Argentina found this way to celebrate her career by making beautiful murals on the walls, surrounding the tennis court in a facility in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.
The mural artist Martin Ron was given charge to make the beautiful murals of both Serena Williams and Gabriela Sabatini. The two women were depicted on the same wall. This is to show women’s power and their contribution to the sport.

Serena Williams presence could be felt at the event

Serena Williams may not have been present at the venue but her presence could still be felt. If she would have been present, she must have been very happy to see her mural. Her expressions and stance while playing the shot were painted exactly. The mural is life-like. Having her mural with Gabriela Sabatini on the same wall is another honor that the 6-time US Open champion will cherish.
After announcing her retirement, Serena Williams is getting lots of love from all quarters of the world. Post-retirement she is also involved in promoting her new company Serena Ventures, a venture capital fund. She has also launched her fashion label called S by Serena.
