American tennis icon Serena Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently announced the gender of their second child. The couple, who are already proud parents to their 5-year-old daughter Olympia, organized a grand gender reveal party that featured a mesmerizing drone show.

To announce the gender of their upcoming baby, Serena and Alexis went to the next level. Serena shared two videos of the event on Instagram, capturing the moments of the big gender reveal. In one of the videos, a colorful drone show is on display, illuminating the sky with vibrant lights.

Lighting up the night sky, the drones formed letters that spelled out “Girl!” The joyous moment was shared by Serena, Alexis, and Olympia, who couldn’t contain their excitement.

Serena Williams had expressed wanting Olympia to have a sister just like Venus

Since announcing her pregnancy, Serena Williams has stated that she had always wished for Olympia to have a sister, just like she had Venus Williams. In fact, Serena arrived at the gender reveal party proudly showing her support for “team pink.” She wore a pink and white skirt and top that accentuated her baby bump. Serena has expressed the wish to be a mother to two daughters ever since she announced her pregnancy in May this year.

In a video posted on YouTube, Serena jokingly mentioned that she didn’t have a backup plan if the baby turned out to be a boy. “I’m a little nervous because I don’t have any contingency plan if it turns out to be a boy,” Serena said.

In a video on their YouTube channel, Ohanian revealed that it was he who came up with the idea of the drone show. As Serena shared the video on Instagram, Alexis responded, “You know I had to come correct with a next-level reveal.”

Earlier in her career, Serena admitted that she never thought about having kids. However, her perspective changed over time, and she now embraces the opportunity to raise her children and be actively involved in their lives.
