The American tennis legend, Serena Williams, has decided to extend her hand toward the development of golf in her hometown. This comes after the announcement made by the Los Angeles Golf Club.

 The LAGC is owned by Serena Williams, her sister Venus Williams, and her husband Alexis Ohanian. Their team is also a part of the TGL, a new venture by golf legends Rory Mcllroy and Tiger Woods.

 Thrilled to announce today that the Los Angeles Golf Club is dedicating 10% of the club's annual sponsorship revenues to the revitalization of Maggie Hathaway Course furthering our commitment to growing the game of golf in Los Angeles.
The club on Friday announced,

Notably, this will be one of the most prominent steps in the development of golf as a sport in the city of Los Angeles. Besides, this will also lead to the development of Serena’s hometown.

Speaking about this, Serena said via the Instagram post,

The 23-time Grand Slam title winner is undoubtedly the most successful women’s tennis player of all time. With a career spanning two decades, the 42-year-old announced her break from the sport in 2022 after the US Open.

However, she has not clarified whether this is a retirement or not. Thus, this has caused the fans to hope that she will make a comeback sooner or later.

Serena has currently diverted her entire attention towards motherhood as she welcomed her second daughter in June last year. Besides, there is nothing official from the player’s side regarding a comeback as of now.
