Serena Williams’ husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian showed a big heart as he gifted his daughter Olympia with a special poster of American soccer star Simone Charley to help an artist pay her bills. As the artist who goes by the name Lauri Marie, sought help by selling her artwork, Ohanian made a purchase and revealed that it was for his daughter. 

The American entrepreneur who is known to be a true family man never shies away from making his daughters happy and now as he had an opportunity to help someone as well, Ohanian grabbed it with both hands. As soon as the artist announced that there was an additional 20% discount on her artwork, Ohanian put an order.

He then revealed that he had bought a Simone Charley poster for his daughter Olympia.

The artist, in return, thanked the Reddit co-founder.

It is worth mentioning that Simone Charley plays for Angel City FC, the same NSWL club where Alexis Ohanian holds a stake.

Alexis Ohanian is a big supporter of women’s soccer

Alexis Ohanian has always been an ardent supporter of women’s sports. Being husband to one of the biggest women’s athletes in the world, Ohanian understands the importance of supporting women’s sports. He not only supports but believes women’s sports has the potential to compete with their men’s counterpart. Hence, he supports women’s soccer in America.

The Reddit co-founder is the leading investor in Angel City FC. Ohanian has also explained the rationale behind his decision to put money on women’s soccer. 

Ten or 15 years from now, when people look at Angel City FC, I think they’ll actually see this one as being the most obvious. There’s a million people on Twitter right now who are going to say no one watches women’s sports. The message I have for them is facts don’t care about your feelings. The data shows Americans would rather watch two women in the U.S. Open.

Alexis Ohanian also dreams of seeing his daughter Olympia play soccer on the biggest stage but only if she is paid what she is worth and he is working day in and out to make it happen.
