With the world evolving, women’s sports are also in constant improvement. From not being featured in many sports to highlighting the sport, the whole community has come a long way. 

With people like Alexis Ohanian supporting and promoting women’s sports, the growth has been phenomenal of late. The husband of Serena Williams and co-founder of Reddit has always taken the initiative to support women’s sports. Ohanian has his own team Angel City FC, which is a huge bonus to women’s sports. Praising him was Williams’ former coach Rennae Stubbs, who is also a key player when it comes to taking initiatives for women’s sports.

Fighting for more female representatives in coaches, and staff, Stubbs has also been a huge positive asset for women’s sports. Recently, Stubbs met up with Ohanian and posted a picture on X, with the caption:

The two closely related people with Serena Williams have met up to possibly discuss newer initiatives in women’s sports. 

Alexis Ohanian has invested in Angel City FC inspired by his daughter, who was interested in football. He is a huge football fan, who has played the sport before.

Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit and husband of Serena Williams has been one of the major investors in Angel City FC.

He first entered as an investor due to the main reason for women’s tennis being under-resourced and underfunded. Underappreciated and under-supported, he saw it as a tremendous business opportunity. Ever since the ticket rate has increased a lot for the football club, and now they have improved from 5000 tickets to 16000 tickets with a 90% renewal rate. 

The American had previously shot a video exemplifying women’s sports and their importance, receiving immense praise from friends and other celebrities. One of them was Rennae Stubbs, who was thoroughly impressed with Ohanian and his speech towards the betterment of women’s sports. Not only in soccer but in tennis as well, many players are fighting for equal pay rights for both women and men. While some tournaments have agreed to this, there are still a few who distinguish the two separate tours.
