Alexis Ohanian applauds Taylor Swift for boosting NFL ratings
American pop star Taylor Swift’s attendance at the game on October 1 raised eyebrows as she showed support for her rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce. The defending Super Bowl champions won 23-20, thanks to a game-changing field goal by Harrison Butker in the fourth quarter.
On October 2, NBC reported that the game had a huge audience, with an average of 27 million viewers. This broke all previous Sunday game records since Super Bowl LVII. Moreover, it attracted an extra two million female viewers. Consequently, Swift’s presence at the game is being considered as a potential reason for the boost in female viewership.
Ohanian, a strong advocate for women’s sports, expressed his admiration for Taylor Swift‘s role in boosting viewership on social media. He highlighted Swift’s power to bring attention to the NFL and the importance of women’s participation in sports.
