Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, who is also the co-founder of Reddit, has always been interested in a wide variety of sports, and soccer is one of them. The 40-year-old is a big fan of soccer and Lionel Messi in particular, and he was extremely delighted when the Argentine legend decided to join Major League Soccer team Inter Miami. 

Besides being a soccer fan, he is also an enthusiast of memorabilia, jerseys, and other collectibles, and thus, he was super-excited when the news of a big auction of Messi’s jerseys dropped back in November.

AC Memento, a popular sports app, partnered with Sotheby’s, a famous auctioneering company, to auction six shirts worn by Lionel Messi in the 2022 World Cup, including the one he wore in the final against France. 

Alexis Ohanian, back then, had reacted to this news on his X account.

Alexis Ohanian is the lead investor in Angel City FC, a team in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

A plethora of other famous influencers have a share in the ownership of the club as well, like Natalie Portman, Casey Neistat, Serena Williams, and Jennifer Garner. ACFC has grown to become one of the flagship teams in the NWSL.

There are a total of 12 teams in the NWSL, and although Angel City FC has yet to win a championship, they might do so soon. Apart from the NWSL, he also has a team in the TGL, a golf league started by Tiger Woods.

Alexis Ohanian founded the Los Angeles Golf Club in 2023, and it suits his tastes as he is himself a big fan of the sport and plays it very frequently.
