Serena Williams has been hyperactive in her social media handles. Ever since she hung her boots last year, the American tennis star has shared her updates regularly with her fans. On Tuesday, the 41-year-old shared a post on her Instagram with a funny caption. Her fans have reacted to it and expressed their relatability with the post and the caption.
In the post, Williams shared some of her mirror selfies in the gym. In the caption. she wrote,
I spend 50% of my time in the gym taking selfies. Trying to get that perfect angle, that angle that makes me look snatched. Well, I found that angle so don’t look at me sideways when in person I’m a tad thicccker lol.
After she retired from the sport, Williams focused the majority of her time on motherhood and her husband Alexis Ohanian. Though she hasn’t officially announced her retirement, it’s just ‘an evolution rather than retirement’, she said in an issue of Vogue. Thus, her fans have been in high hopes that the 23-time singles Grand Slam title winner will make a comeback to the court.
Serena Williams looks to spend more time with her newborn daughter and her family
After her break from professional tennis last year, Williams hasn’t stated anything officially about her comeback. Though she is seen in practice courts with her sister Venus Williams, she has focused her entire attention on her two daughters.
She welcomed her second daughter, Adira River, in August. Adira is just four months old and already has started her practice sessions with her mother and elder sister Olympia.
She frequently posts pictures of her daughters on her social media handles. On the eve of Christmas, Williams posted a special video on her Instagram in which her elder daughter is giving sit-ups to Adira on the eve of Christmas.
In an issue with Vogue, the American tennis superstar has also opened up about the struggles of being a mother. She stated how people just glamorize it without knowing the sacrifices behind it.
