Famous journalist slams Margaret Court’s allegations of bad reception

There has been quite a debate with Court’s 24 titles being compared with Serena‘s 23 on who has the record for winning the most titles even though she had played in the Amateur era also which is not at all her fault. Apart from that, Court has been often criticized for her brutal and ruthless opinions on various issues over the years.
The 3-time Wimbledon champion Margaret Court opened up regarding the discrimination she had to face at Wimbledon. She felt that she was ignored for her existence despite being a legend of the sport with many accolades to her name. Famous journalist Ben Rothenberg shared a post slamming the Australian legend for her hurtful claims over receiving bad reception that left her feeling excluded at Wimbledon. He said, “If there’s a silver lining to Serena Williams retiring, it’s that we no longer have to mention Margaret Court with any regularity.“
He further added that ” It’s not an issue of tennis people being fearful of somebody being a Christian. There are lots of devout Christians on tennis tour who are fully embraced and popular. The difference with Margaret Court is that she’s consistently been a jerk.“
