According to news agency AP, 23-time Grand Slam singles champion Serena Williams has signed a two-book deal with Random House Publishing Group. The first of these books features “intimate” memoirs from her childhood and early training to her hugely successful career and hiccups along the way. Serena’s father shifted the family to Compton, California, where she started playing tennis at the age of four alongside her sister Venus Williams. 

The story of the father of William’s sisters, Richard Williams, has already been documented in the movie “King Richard,” which features Will Smith playing the role of Richard. The title and release date of the book are yet to be announced. The second book will feature Serena’s experience away from tennis, including her life in advocacy, philanthropy, and business. The book will also provide insights into Serena’s ‘rules for living’.

In a statement released by the publication, Serena said, “For so long, all I was focused on was winning, & I never sat down to look back & reflect on my life & career. Over the last year, I’ve really enjoyed taking the time with my growing family to celebrate my accomplishments and explore my other passions.” (H/T: AP News)

Serena Williams thanks Nike for sending a gift box for her daughter Adira

Serena Williams gave birth to her second daughter with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, in August of this year. In May 2023, she revealed in an Instagram post that she was pregnant with her second child ahead of her appearance at the Met Gala, where she was seen visibly pregnant.

The 23-time Grand Slam title champion seems to be enjoying her motherhood, as she shared a video on Instagram showing off the outfit gifted by Nike for baby Adira. Williams has been associated with the American sportswear brand since her early playing days. “Look at all this stuff for baby Adira. I really love the little Nike shoes; they’re always just so sweet. Look at the little crop top!” Williams remarked as she showed the gift box to her fans on social media.
