Severin Luthi has been one of the steady names associated with Roger Federer during his playing days. He joined the Swiss coaching staff back in 2007 and then toured with him until his retirement last year. Currently, he has been on a hiatus from his coaching duties but has hinted at a possible comeback.

Recently, Severin Luthi spoke about the relationship he shares with his long-term companion Roger Federer. The former coach revealed that the duo do not speak to each other frequently, but they did speak over Facetime just a while ago. The veteran stated that it was difficult for them to remain in touch constantly since Roger Federer has a busy schedule despite retiring from the sport. He announced his retirement from the sport last year, as he played his last competitive match at the 2022 Laver Cup.

Severin Luthi revealed that Roger Federer invited him to the Royal Box at the Championships this year. The pair were spotted during one of the days at 2023 Wimbledon. The former coach stated that the duo still have several things in common, which includes Roger Federer’s Uniqlo sponsorship.

Moreover, Severin stated that he has already met Roger Federer twice this year in Dubai. During one of his encounters with the Swiss maestro in Dubai, he was on vacation. “Yes, he asked me if I would like to accompany him. We are still connected through other things as well.
