The world is currently recovering from the harsh effects the COVID-19 pandemic had on everyone’s life. For a few months in 2020, the world was at a standstill with the lockdown effective in place to stop the spread of the Covid virus. Every sector, including the sporting world, had temporarily shut down.
After a few months of stoppage, the tennis tours started with a lot of precautions and restrictions which included mandatory quarantine and wearing masks. This was considered to be the new normal but still, a lot of people took this for granted. Novak Djokovic, who is one of the greats of the game is often accused of not taking the Covid outburst seriously. Not only that, he was once accused of spreading Covid after he hosted a huge event amidst the pandemic.
Currently, he is the biggest name in the tennis community who has refused to take the Covid vaccine and believes that every person is entitled to his own freedom of choosing what goes into his body. Not only Novak, but his wife, Jelena Djokovic, was also under a lot of scrutinies once for not following Covid norms.

It is to be noted that the 2020 French Open was the first big tournament to be played after the Covid lockdown with a lot of restrictions. A very limited crowd was allowed in the stadiums and wearing a mask was mandatory. But Jelena Djokovic was spotted not wearing the mask properly and at times was seen in Novak’s box without one.
Naturally, fans on social media were very upset by the lack of responsibilities shown by Jelena, who is the wife of one of the biggest sporting names of contemporary times.
