Alex de Minaur, Katie Boulter

Alex de Minaur, the 19th seed at Wimbledon 2022 entered the third round of Wimbledon, matching his best-ever performance in London. He will be playing to reach the fourth round against wildcard Liam Broady who stunned Diego Schwartzman in the second round. de Minaur’s happiness on reaching the third round was even greater because of his girlfriend Katie Boulter and her maiden third-round appearance at a Grand Slam.

Boulter was up against 2021 Wimbledon finalist Karolina Pliskova and managed to edge past the sixth seed and entered the third round at Wimbledon 2022. Boulter has suffered a lot of injuries in her career and she has been out of the WTA top 100 due to this. But, her exceptional performance this grass-court season has given some signs of her resurgence. Though Boulter would not gain any ranking points after this great performance at Wimbledon, it would give her confidence to take on higher-ranked players.
