Novak Djokovic is a tennis legend and there are no doubts about it. However, the Serbian is often criticized for his on-field antics. A few tennis fans also claim that Djokovic is arrogant and self-centered. However, there have been many instances and testimonials that state otherwise. 

Many of Djokovic’s opponents have revealed that the Serbian ace is not arrogant by any means. In fact, Djokovic is labeled humble and friendly by many of his co-players. Not just tennis players, Djokovic shares a great rapport with athletes outside of tennis as well. Everyone knows about Djokovic’s affection with NBA star Kobe Bryant.

Apart from that, the Serbian is also friends with Tom Brady and a few notable names from other sports. The Serbian’s considerate nature for his friends makes him stand apart and the confession made by late Serbian footballer Sinisa Mihajlovic’s brother has only backed this claim.

Drazen Mihajlovic has recalled an incident involving Djokovic from the time when his brother was diagnosed with an acute form of leukemia and was bedridden. Drazen remembered how Djokovic left his family waiting on the plane to come and visit Sinisa.

Recalling the incident, Drzen Mihajlovic hailed Novak Djokovic as a great man. He revealed that although the two knew each other only as fellow athletes and were not too close, Djokovic showed utmost concern for Sinisa when he was diagnosed with a serious health condition.

Drazen revealed that Djokovic landed in Bergamo while on his way to Spain. The Serbian then left his family waiting on the plane while he came to meet Sinisa at the hospital where he was being treated. Drazen also claimed that it was a surprise visit. He then hailed Djokovic as a great man. 

And Nole, I think he was traveling to Spain and he landed in Bergamo on that way to Spain, he left his family, his wife, and his children waiting on the plane while he went to Sinisha in the hospital. That's another thing that really speaks to Novak's greatness as a man.
Drazen Mihajlovic said to Kurir.

The younger Mihajlovic then talked about the bond Djokovic shared with his late brother. He revealed that they knew each other after having crossed paths multiple times. 

I wouldn't say they were some kind of friends, they knew each other from the world of sports, they heard from each other several times, they saw each other several times in Rome while Nole was at the Masters, they sent messages to each other, support and everything. That is what concerns Nole
Drazen further stated.

Notably, Sinisa Mihajlovic took his last breath on 16 December 2022. The Serb lost his life due to complications of leukemia. Novak Djokovic had sent his condolences when Sinisa had passed away. He thanked the footballer for his contributions and claimed that they won’t be forgotten.
