Sloane Stephens has not been having the best of the start of the year in 2023. She faced a first-round exit in the Australian Open against Russia’s Anastasia Potapova. She also faced first-round exits in both the BNP Paribas Open and the Miami Open. Sofia Kenin defeated her easily at BNP Paribas with a score of 6-4,6-1. Though she gave a fight in the first round at Miami, where she was sunk by Shelby Rogers in 3 sets, 6-4,6-3,6-2.

She experienced some amount of success at the Charleston Open, where she reached the round of 32 but fell against Victoria Azarenka. Earlier in ATX pen, Victoria reached the quarter-finals but lost to 44th-ranked Varvara Gracheva.

One time US Open Champion is currently missing in action from the Porsche Grand Prix Stuttgart Open 2023. Stephens will make a return to the grand slams with the French Open where she has reached the finals in 2018. Will there be a repeat of that, difficult to say. But for now, Sloane is slaying in that Jamaican carnival outfit.
